Autumn is the favorite season of a lot of people. People love pumpkins, the return of sweaters, and the changing colors of the leaves. I am one of these people, and so I thought I would share some photos of a recent walk in the woods. Enjoy!

Is there anything more inspiring than springtime? And this one has been especially interesting, giving us everything from 80 degree weather to wintery snow. As spring gives way to summer, I found myself reflecting on the sights and scenes that served as the backdrop for my thoughts this spring.
These photos were taken only one week later. It was an instant transition from winter into spring.
And now, it is just about time for the last transition – out of spring and into summer!
Sand sculptures always help make it feel like summer. Just this week, we crafted a sea turtle.
And Minas Tirith.
That view will do.
Happy summer!
Now that spring is beginning to show up in the form of flowers and sunshine, I thought I would bid adieu to Winter with some photographs of my recent sojourn to a state park cabin, where my husband and I spent a week hiking, cooking, and cuddling up with our books.
The end of winter, when there is little snow, yet no flowers or leaves, and everything is beige and grey, is often regarded as an ugly time of year. But I quite love the mild earthiness of the colors.
How beautiful are these ice crystals in the soil?
The greens, golds, pale blues, and grey-browns in the photograph above are my favorite colors.
I love how these gold leaves hang so delicately in the rough darkness of the wooded area.
And the russet colors of the next photograph, though muted, seem so rich against the winter backdrop.
It was peaceful, productive, and a wonderful break from our normal daily routines. Now, on to spring!
