    • On Christmas Eve

      Christmas Eve is my favorite night of the holiday season.

      Eat: Ina Garten’s Old-Fashioned Apple Crisp. You can cut the sugar in half, but leave everything else the same! Some people in the comments don’t like the heavy citrus flavor, but I think it is magical.

       Listen:

       Light: this chestnut spice candle. It’s an expensive candle, but I get one every year because it smells so good.

       Watch: This three hour calming fire or this two hour crackling fire. Load it up on your TV screen if you don’t have the luxury of a fireplace.

       And then you’re ready for Christmas Eve.
