Is there anything more inspiring than springtime? And this one has been especially interesting, giving us everything from 80 degree weather to wintery snow. As spring gives way to summer, I found myself reflecting on the sights and scenes that served as the backdrop for my thoughts this spring.
These photos were taken only one week later. It was an instant transition from winter into spring.
And now, it is just about time for the last transition – out of spring and into summer!
Sand sculptures always help make it feel like summer. Just this week, we crafted a sea turtle.
And Minas Tirith.
That view will do.
Happy summer!

What a joyful journey through this wonderful season! If what you share is your home then I love the contrast between sea shore and woodland.

Aw, thank you, and if only! Does it count as home if they’re all within a 3-4 hour driving diameter?

I learnt when my daughter invited a fellow student home for Christmas who comes from Idaho that Americans view the concept of distance differently from Brits. Or do mid westerners see it differently from other Americans? As a family it takes us 4 hours to drive to the part of Wales where my father in law grew up. We think of it as another world!

I think it’s all Americans – I once heard someone say that Americans think 200 years is a long time, and Europeans think 200 miles is a great distance!

I really like that!
