This year, I’ve decided to theme my Thanksgiving reading list around food – how it makes us feel, where it comes from, what it can teach us about ourselves and our place in an interconnected world, and how it structures and affects issues of social justice. To this end, I’ve selected three books I’ve not yet read. I really know nothing about these works or their authors, so if you have any thoughts on their merits, I’d love to hear them.
I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, full of food, family, and fuzzy feelings.

Kudos! I think many of our holidays have lost much of their power because they’ve become more about the trappings (food, gifts, etc…) rather than about their spirit. I think your reading list is a great counter to this.

Thank you! It’s always a struggle to find the true spirit of a holiday amid the hype, but it’s a worthwhile search!
